End of service life (EOSL) refers to the time at which a specific device or software product is no longer supported by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). When a product reaches EOSL, the OEM no longer provides support or hardware maintenance.
EOSL generally falls after five years of the product’s obsolescence. You can no longer order a product once it reaches obsolescence. However, just because a device has been earmarked for EOSL, doesn’t mean that it has reached the end of its usable life and has to be replaced.
